It is part of a series, each presenting different textures and the words describing them. They all follow the same format, e.g., Ésta no es mi muñeca…lleva zapatos de cuero, through several different dolls until ¡Ésta sí es mi muñeca! lleva lacitos de seda. Our comments: These books are wonderful to teach descriptive vocabulary to very young children, and so much fun for little hands to touch. In addition, it is just the type of repetitive text that makes it easy for children to begin “reading” to themselves when they have learned the words by memory. |
