Format: Board book with textures Bilingual Journey’s Age Recommendations: 0 to 3 Description: This is an 11-page very sturdy board book with different textures (including the cover). It is part of a series, each presenting different textures and the words describing them. They all follow the same format, e.g., "Éste no es mi conejito…tiene la cola de algodón", through several different rabbits until "¡Éste sí es mi conejito! Tiene unas orejas muy suaves." Our comments: These books are wonderful to teach descriptive vocabulary to very young children, and so much fun for little hands to touch. In addition, it is just the type of repetitive text that makes it easy for children to begin “reading” to themselves when they have learned the words by memory. |
