It is part of a series, each presenting different textures and the words describing them. They all follow the same format, e.g., Éste no es mi perrito…tiene un cuerpo muy peludo, through several different dogs until ˇÉste sí es mi perrito! Toca su nariz. Es blanda. Our comments: These books are wonderful to teach descriptive vocabulary to very young children, and so much fun for little hands to touch. In addition, it is just the type of repetitive text that makes it easy for children to begin “reading” to themselves when they have learned the words by memory. |
